Butterflies in Buttercream

I decorated this little multi-tiered cake from a drawing that my niece made for me. Hers was so sweet that I thought it should taste that way, too.

Little Pink & Purple Princess cake

Here's my first cake created with the new Kitchenaid mixer. This little chocolate cake was inspired by my six-year old niece. She did some artwork a while back that I saved. I thought the colors would make a nice pattern. You can see her artwork here.

A cake for my mom!

Here is a lovely little cake that I made last year. I had just finished taking a cake decorating class and I wanted to do something for Mother's Day. I didn't have a flower tip and probably wouldn't have known how to make one if I did, so I used another tip. All I remember is she said how much she loved the grapes. I was going for hydrangeas.
