Here is a lovely little cake that I made last year. I had just finished taking a cake decorating class and I wanted to do something for Mother's Day. I didn't have a flower tip and probably wouldn't have known how to make one if I did, so I used another tip. All I remember is she said how much she loved the grapes. I was going for hydrangeas.

Very cute! I knew they were hydrangeas right of the bat! Oh and I loved your monogram cakes. Just found your blog after searching out information on this cupcake pop craze you've created! Happy baking!
Oh, good! I wasn't sure either when I first did them.
I'm a new reader (and avid baker) and just wanted to comment on what a cute design this is! I may filch it for a future project, if you don't mind...
I have a few of my cakes up on my blog, if you're intested!
Thanks ruth and make away!
Your mom's comment made me laugh out loud. I made a hydrangea cake for my mother and grandmother last mother's day: http://bakingarts.blogspot.com/2008/05/hydrangea-cake.html
I just tried out your moist yellow cake recipe. Definitely a keeper!
Great to see mother's day cakes on your blog. I visited this mothers day gifting site, it has unique gifts for mother.
