Here's a little cake catch-up

Sorry, I haven't posted anything new for a while. This site was going to be a place for my cakes, but it seems all I have been doing lately is cupcakes. So, if you want to see what all I've been up to, check out www.bakerella.com. And seeing these pics all together now makes me realize I need to make another cake.

Cupcake Bites

Flower Cupcakes

Comic Cupcakes

Bunny Cupcakes

Care Bear on a Cloud Cupcake

Candy Heart Cupcakes

I've been a regular reader of both of your blogs for a while now, though I'm not sure if I've ever commented before. I saw this shirt today, though, and thought of you. It's the "cupcakeasaurus"

I meant to post here!! Are the flowers made of chocolate? Very cute. I love writing on cakes with chocolate so I bet I could pull this off too with my limited art skills.

sweet pea treats - they are made from white and colored vanilla flavored candy melts.

OHH!! I LOVE the Garfield cupcakes!!! He's my hero!! :-D

And the Care Bear one is awesome too!!

I'm so jealous of you, wish I had even a pinch of your foodie talent!! You're so awesome!

Hope you don't mind me asking, how did you get the shape of the Care Bear cupcake's cake to be so tall and skinny and blooming outward at the top? I've made cupcakes many times, but mine always come out quite short and rotund.

I really love your work with fondant and I was going to try working with some myself. But I have a question, will it work well with sugar cookies?

You have totally inspired me to try so many different ideas that are all whirling round my head!

My love of cake definitely helps prevent the dread of an upcoming birthday :-)
