I better get baking

After years of using a cheap hand mixer, I've finally moved to the big leagues with my brand new Kitchenaid artisan stand mixer. I was totally surprised to get this pink beauty for Christmas. I haven't used it yet, but I can't wait to try it out. I hope it improves my "from scratch" baking.

I am totally in love with my Kitchenaid mixer. It's the best thing since sliced bread. ;) I had a cheap Sunbeam mixer previously that would travel across my counter whenever I made cookie dough, but the Kitchenaid can knead dough without a struggle. Congrats on your very cute pink model!

Thanks teresa. I had a cheap handheld mixer before. I can't tell you how happy my right arm is these days.

I have to admit that I'm guilty of crushin' on my Kitchenaid. I hope that since this is an older post that you've had lots of time to create more incredible things.

I am glad you were not naked when you took the picture, cause we can totally see you.
Um, that was a creepy way to de-lurk, eh!

Can I just say that I do not even have a mixer, I use a fork. Yeah, it sucks. All I wanted for Mother's Day was a mixer, but I could not find one that I LOVED, so I got a purse, instead. Someday I will get a stand mixer...someday.

I want one of these.... how has it worked out for you? I am currently using a 25 year old stand mixer that belonged to my grandmother. I think it's about to die. lol

Aren't these mixers the best thing ever?!?!
I started Wilton Cake Decorating classes in September 2008, without a stand mixer. And I managed to make my way through batches and batches of buttercream with a really old hand mixer. A few times, I thought it was a goner, it would heat up and start to smell like smoke, and I would have to stop and let it cool off before I could finish my frosting:) But I am now the proud owner of my own Kitchenaid Artisan Mixer! I got mine for Christmas this year and I love, love, love it!!! I think there is a special kind of love for stand mixers when you come a hand mixer! :)

I have that exact mixer, pink and all! I had my eye on it for a while and I was positively giddy when I finally bought it.

My husband likes to stand behind me and look over my shoulder when something is being mixed up in there. He's mesmerized by it. :o)

Hope it brings you many more years of happy baking!
